A High School Course
Service Description
In this thought-provoking and engaging English course, students in grades 9 through 12 will examine events and compare the mainstream view with conspiracies. Throughout the semester, students will weave their research into a variety of writing types including narrative, argumentative, and expository. Students will present their findings to their classmates and learn to respectfully discuss and debate opposing viewpoints. In addition, students will analyze and interpret several books of the conspiracy fiction genre. This unique course has been designed around the Alaska state standards for high school English/Language Arts. A student's spot is reserved for the course once payment is made in full, or arrangements have been made for direct billing. Refunds will not be given after the first day of class. In the event a student is waitlisted, Back to Basics will contact the family directly if a spot opens up.
