Service Description
This engaging, hands-on course introduces students in grades 3–6 to the exciting world of engineering. Through problem-solving, teamwork, and experimentation, students will explore how engineers design, build, and improve the world around us. The course emphasizes curiosity, critical thinking, and perseverance as students take on fun challenges like building bridges, designing simple machines, and creating solutions to real-world problems. Students will be introduced to basic engineering concepts such as the design process, forces and motion, structures, and materials. Activities encourage exploration through trial and error and help students understand that failure is a valuable part of learning. Wednesdays 9:00 - 11:00 Fall semester: September 16th - December 9th Spring semester: January 27th - May 5th $400 per semester, or $700 for the year. Cancellation Policy
A student's spot is reserved for the course once payment is made in full, or arrangements have been made for direct billing. Refunds will not be given after the first day of class. In the event a student is waitlisted, Back to Basics will contact the family directly if a spot opens up.
