PRINT HANDWRITING COURSE: This course helps students develop clear, neat, and confident print handwriting,. Students will learn proper letter formation, spacing, sizing, and alignment while building fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Beginning with individual letters, the course gradually guides learners toward writing words and complete sentences with consistency and ease. Instruction includes correct pencil grip, posture, and stroke order to support long-term writing comfort and legibility. Through guided practice, tracing, copying, and creative writing exercises, students will strengthen both their handwriting and their ability to express ideas on paper. The course also emphasizes attention to detail, patience, and pride in one’s work. The class introduces the fundamentals of cursive writing, including proper letter formation, spacing, and fluid connections between letters. Students will progress from basic strokes and lowercase letters to uppercase letters, words, and full sentences, building confidence and consistency along the way. Instruction is tailored to meet a wide range of abilities, making the course suitable for beginners as well as students looking to improve legibility and speed. Activities include guided practice, creative writing exercises, and opportunities to apply cursive in real-world contexts such as journaling, note-taking, and personal correspondence. By the end of the course, students will have developed a clear, readable cursive style and an appreciation for handwriting as both a practical skill and a form of personal expression. A student's spot is reserved for the course once payment is made in full, or arrangements have been made for direct billing. Refunds will not be given after the first day of class. In the event a student is waitlisted, Back to Basics will contact the family directly if a spot opens up.
