Service Description
Welcome to the exciting world of science fiction literature! This course invites upper elementary students to embark on a journey through imaginative worlds, futuristic technologies, and thought-provoking ideas. Through engaging readings and creative activities, students will explore the genre's unique ability to blend scientific concepts with speculative fiction, sparking curiosity and critical thinking about the possibilities of the future. This semester, we will study the geology of Iceland and make maps, erupt a volcano, build a time machine, study ancient inventions, build a rocket, create an alien (writing activity), and more! Course meets Mondays from 11:30-12:30 starting September 8th

A student's spot is reserved for the course once payment is made in full, or arrangements have been made for direct billing. Refunds will not be given after the first day of class. In the event a student is waitlisted, Back to Basics will contact the family directly if a spot opens up.
