United States History for Middle School
Service Description
In this engaging U.S. History course, students in grades 6 through 8 will explore the rich and complex story of the United States, from its early beginnings to the present day. Through dynamic lessons, discussions, and projects, students will learn about the key events, people, and ideas that have shaped the nation's development. Starting with the indigenous peoples of and the colonization of North America, students will trace the major turning points in U.S. history, including the American Revolution, the drafting of the Constitution, westward expansion, the Civil War, industrialization, the World Wars, and the Civil Rights Movement. Along the way, they will examine how social, political, and economic changes have affected various groups of people throughout American history. A student's spot is reserved for the course once payment is made in full, or arrangements have been made for direct billing. Refunds will not be given after the first day of class. In the event a student is waitlisted, Back to Basics will contact the family directly if a spot opens up.
